Day Care Hub

A welcome break for carers and a great day out for the person you support

At Orchard House, we understand the need to support carers who may be juggling their own family and work life in addition to their caring role. Our day care centre not only provides a welcome break for carers, but also aims to make a positive difference in our visitors’ lives. We strive to promote the health, independence, and wellbeing of our visitors. Following a comprehensive assessment, we plan all the care and support our visitors need to ensure they have a supportive and fulfilling day at Orchard House.

Our knowledgeable team has a wealth of experience and can support people with conditions including Parkinson’s disease, stroke, dementia, and learning disabilities. We’re aware that for some people simply getting older can lead to isolation and loneliness, which can have a negative impact on health. A day at Orchard House can be just what the doctor ordered to keep the person you care for mentally and physically stimulated through a wide range of engaging activities and the opportunity to socialise with others, which in turn, can help keep them in their own home for longer. Day care can also be a great opportunity for individuals to get familiar with Orchard House and our team, and can help ease the transition to a longer respite break. Please visit our respite care section to find out more about short stays at Orchard House.

The benefits of therapeutic activities should not be underestimated, and we’re sure our visitors would all agree that laughter definitely is the best medicine!
